Tele-Law Regional Workshop to Be Held at SKICC in Srinagar on 17 February 2026

A Regional Event-cum-Workshop under the Tele-Law initiative will be held on 17 February 2026 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Center in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The programme is being organized under the DISHA scheme, a Central Sector Scheme implemented by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

The workshop is designed to strengthen technology-enabled access to justice, promote stakeholder engagement, and review the implementation of Tele-Law services. The event will commence with the mass singing of “Vande Mataram,” marking 150 years of the National Song and celebrating its enduring role in India’s history.

Thematic sessions during the event will focus on DISHA’s outreach and implementation channels, including community-based legal literacy initiatives, digital awareness campaigns, and partnerships with educational institutions and civil society organizations. Special emphasis will be placed on strategies to reach marginalized and vulnerable communities through simplified, technology-driven platforms. A dedicated segment will also highlight DISHA’s initiatives and progress in Jammu & Kashmir.

The programme will include the felicitation of individuals and institutions for their contributions to advancing legal literacy and access to justice. Additionally, the DISHA annual e-calendar will be released, outlining key activities and awareness campaigns planned for the year.

The event will be graced by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Manoj Sinha, and Arun Palli. Around 800 participants, including judges, advocates, officials, VLEs, faculty, and law students, are expected to attend in person, with others joining virtually.
