Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026: Online Registration Begins, Apply Before May 19
Pilgrimage to be held from June to August via Lipulekh and Nathu La routes; selection process will be fully computerized and gender-balanced.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026, one of the most sacred spiritual journeys, is scheduled to take place between June and August with the cooperation of India’s Ministry of External Affairs and the Chinese government. Interested applicants can now register online through the official portal kmy.gov.in.
This year, the pilgrimage will be conducted through two routes. From Uttarakhand’s Lipulekh Pass, 10 batches of 50 pilgrims each will travel, while from Sikkim’s Nathu La Pass, another 10 batches of 50 pilgrims will undertake the journey.
The application process is completely digital. Applicants must register on the website, log in, and submit their forms online. The selection will be carried out through a computer-based random system, ensuring transparency and gender balance.
Applicants can choose either one route or both, depending on their preference. The last date to apply is May 19, 2026.
Located in Tibet, Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar are considered highly sacred by followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon traditions. The journey is not just a religious practice but also a path to spiritual peace, combined with breathtaking natural beauty.
