A major revelation has emerged in the investigation of the Red Fort car blast in Delhi. The prime accused has been identified as Dr. Umar Mohammad, a well-educated medical professional who turned to terrorism.
According to security sources, Umar Mohammad was driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort. He completed his medical studies from Government Medical College, Srinagar, later worked at GMC Anantnag in a senior position, and was currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Al-Falah University, Faridabad.
Despite benefiting from various government schemes, scholarships, and taxpayers’ money throughout his education and career, Umar chose the path of extremism. Investigators suspect he had recently developed links with radical organizations.
The blast has so far claimed nine lives and left 28 people injured. Security agencies believe the attack was part of a larger conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the national capital.
