The National Security Guard (NSG), in coordination with the Delhi Police, carried out a major counter-terrorism drill at the Akshardham Temple in Delhi, aiming to strengthen preparedness for high-risk scenarios at critical national landmarks.
The exercise showcased the forces’ speed, discipline, and operational precision, demonstrating their ability to neutralise threats and execute rapid-response actions with seamless coordination. Officials said the drill significantly enhanced inter-agency synergy, improving communication and tactical cooperation between elite NSG units and the city's law-enforcement personnel.
Security protocols, evacuation procedures, and area-domination techniques were practised as part of the operation, reflecting India’s commitment to safeguarding major public and religious sites.
