Israeli Defence Ministry Chief Meets Rajnath Singh in New Delhi

New Delhi, June 22, 2026: Major General (Retd.) Amir Baram, Director General of Israel's Ministry of Defence, met Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday to discuss ways to further strengthen defence cooperation and deepen strategic ties between the two countries.

The meeting comes amid growing collaboration between India and Israel in the fields of defence technology, military modernization, cybersecurity, and strategic security cooperation. Both sides reviewed ongoing defence projects and explored opportunities for expanding cooperation in advanced military systems and indigenous defence manufacturing.

During the discussions, Rajnath Singh reaffirmed India's commitment to enhancing bilateral defence relations with Israel, a key strategic partner in the Middle East. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in defence innovation, technology transfer, and joint development initiatives under India's self-reliance programme.

Maj Gen (Retd.) Amir Baram emphasized Israel's commitment to strengthening its long-standing defence partnership with India and expressed interest in expanding cooperation across various sectors, including defence research, aerospace, and emerging technologies.

India and Israel have witnessed significant growth in defence ties over the past decade, with cooperation extending beyond defence procurement to joint ventures, technology sharing, and research collaborations.
