Sai Sudharsan’s Masterclass Powers Gujarat Titans to Dominant Win Over CSK

In Match 37 of IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans delivered a commanding performance to defeat Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets at Chepauk. Chasing 159, GT completed the task with ease in just 16.4 overs, thanks to a stunning knock from Sai Sudharsan.

Sudharsan starred with a brilliant 87 off 46 balls, showcasing a perfect blend of patience and aggression on a tricky surface. He was well supported by skipper Shubman Gill, who contributed a fluent 33, and Jos Buttler, who remained unbeaten on 39 to finish the chase comfortably.

Earlier, GT’s bowlers set up the victory with a disciplined effort. Kagiso Rabada (3/25) and Mohammed Siraj exploited the bounce-friendly pitch to dismantle CSK’s batting lineup.

For CSK, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played a lone hand with an unbeaten 74 off 60 balls, but lacked support from the other end. Early wickets and poor shot selection derailed their innings, restricting them to 158/7—well below par on a surface that demanded smarter batting.

Despite late contributions from the lower order, CSK never truly recovered from their shaky start. In contrast, GT’s batters adapted brilliantly, pacing their innings to perfection.

With this dominant win, Gujarat Titans climbed up the points table, while Chennai Super Kings were left searching for answers after another underwhelming performance.
