FIFA Unveils Expanded Line-Up for FIFA Series 2026™, 48 Nations to Compete Across Six Confederations
A total of 11 FIFA Member Associations will serve as hosts
Global football governing body FIFA has officially confirmed the hosts and group compositions for the expanded FIFA Series 2026, marking a major step in broadening competitive opportunities for both men’s and women’s national teams worldwide.
Set to take place during the March–April 2026 international window, the FIFA Series 2026™ will feature 48 national teams divided into 12 groups of four. Representing nearly 25% of FIFA’s 211 Member Associations, the tournament underscores the organisation’s commitment to enhancing global participation and competitive exposure across all six confederations.
A total of 11 FIFA Member Associations will serve as hosts, with Rwanda staging two groups, bringing the overall tally to 12. The competition structure includes nine men’s groups and three women’s groups, ensuring balanced representation and continued development of the women’s game.
The confirmed hosts for the men’s groups are Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Rwanda, and Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, the women’s groups will be hosted by Brazil, Côte d’Ivoire, and Thailand.
All matches will be broadcast globally, significantly improving fan access while enhancing the visibility and development prospects of participating national teams.
