Yogi Adityanath Targets Bengal Government During Campaign Rally
Claims UP Has Moved from “Curfew to Celebration,” Criticises Bengal Over Religious Expression
Yogi Adityanath has stepped into the political battleground of West Bengal, intensifying the campaign atmosphere ahead of the elections. On Monday, he addressed a public rally in Garbeta, where he drew sharp contrasts between Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
During his speech, Yogi Adityanath claimed that the situation in Uttar Pradesh has undergone a major transformation in recent years. He stated that the state no longer experiences curfews or riots, emphasizing that peace and stability have replaced unrest. “There is no curfew, no riots in Uttar Pradesh anymore. Everything is fine now. The state has moved from disturbance to celebration,” he said.
Taking a direct dig at the West Bengal leadership, he alleged that expressions of religious faith are discouraged in the state. Referring to the political leadership often addressed as “Didi,” he remarked that chanting the name of Lord Ram seems to irritate the government in Bengal.
In contrast, he highlighted developments in Uttar Pradesh, particularly pointing to the construction of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as a symbol of cultural and religious pride.
His remarks come as political parties continue to ramp up campaigning in West Bengal, with leaders drawing comparisons between governance models to influence voters.
