New Delhi : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath began a two-day visit to Rajasthan on March 15–16, 2026, during which he will participate in cultural and religious events across the state. The visit is primarily aimed at attending the historic Jauhar Mela and tribute ceremony in Chittorgarh, an event held annually to honour the legacy and sacrifices of the warriors and women of Mewar.
March 15 Schedule According to the official itinerary, Yogi Adityanath arrived at Udaipur Airport at around 10:50 AM from Lucknow. From there, he travelled to Chittorgarh, landing at the Chittorgarh Police Line helipad at approximately 11:20 AM.
During his visit to Chittorgarh, the Chief Minister is scheduled to: Visit the historic Chittorgarh Fort Pay tributes at the Jauhar site, commemorating the sacrifices of Rajput women
Offer prayers at the Kalika Mata Temple
Later in the day, he will address a public gathering at the Jauhar Tribute Ceremony at Enani City Centre around 12:45 PM.
In the evening, Yogi Adityanath will depart for Jalore, where he is expected to stay overnight at Sire Mandir.
March 16 Schedule
On the second day of his visit, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will begin his schedule with a visit to the Shree Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple in Jalore at 9:30 AM.
Following the temple visit, he will address a religious assembly (Dharm Sabha) at around 10:00 AM, interacting with spiritual leaders and devotees.
After completing his engagements, Adityanath will depart for Jodhpur at approximately 11:55 AM, from where he will travel back to Lucknow.
Focus on Mewar’s History and Religious Traditions
The visit highlights the importance of honouring the historical legacy of Mewar, particularly the sacrifices remembered during the Jauhar Mela. It also includes participation in religious and cultural programmes in Jalore, reflecting the spiritual significance of the region.
Officials said the visit aims to pay tribute to Rajasthan’s rich heritage while strengthening cultural and religious connections between the two states.
