Saurabh Bhardwaj Targets Raghav Chadha, Alleges Betrayal and Links with BJP
Saurabh Bhardwaj accuses Raghav Chadha of conspiring against Aam Aadmi Party and secretly collaborating with the BJP.
A political storm has erupted after Raghav Chadha resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In response, senior AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj launched a sharp attack, accusing Chadha of betraying the party.
Addressing the media, Bhardwaj alleged that Chadha had been working with the BJP for over a year. He claimed that Chadha’s actions were not sudden but part of a “well-planned conspiracy” to build a neutral public image while being aligned with the ruling party.
Bhardwaj also made a personal remark, stating that Chadha’s political rise and recognition were largely due to AAP. He said that opportunities like becoming a Rajya Sabha member played a crucial role in shaping his public identity.
“You had the right to leave the party, but choosing to conspire was wrong,” Bhardwaj said, criticizing Chadha’s approach. He further rejected comparisons between changing political parties and switching jobs, emphasizing that political affiliations are rooted in ideology, unlike professional choices.
The AAP leader also alleged that several issues raised by Chadha—such as concerns related to airport vendors, mobile recharges, and food delivery platforms—were part of a strategic narrative allegedly supported by the central government to enhance his popularity.
According to Bhardwaj, this strategy was aimed at projecting Chadha as a young leader representing middle-class concerns while gradually distancing himself from AAP’s ideology.
The controversy has intensified political tensions, with both sides engaging in a war of words following Chadha’s move to the BJP.
