New Delhi, February 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the name of the newly developed government building complex Seva Teerth on February 13, 2026, at around 1:30 PM. He will subsequently inaugurate Seva Teerth along with Kartavya Bhavan-1 and Kartavya Bhavan-2, and later address a public programme at the venue. The inauguration is being seen as a major step in modernising India’s administrative governance infrastructure. For decades, several key government offices operated from ageing and scattered buildings across the Central Vista area, often resulting in coordination challenges, operational inefficiencies, and rising maintenance costs. The new complexes aim to address these issues through consolidation and technological integration. Seva Teerth will accommodate the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat, bringing together institutions that previously functioned from separate locations. Kartavya Bhavan-1 and 2 will house several important ministries, including Finance, Defence, Health & Family Welfare, Education, and others. Designed as digitally integrated, future-ready workspaces, the complexes feature structured public interface zones and centralized reception facilities to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and citizen engagement. Built in line with 4-Star GRIHA sustainability standards, the buildings incorporate renewable energy systems, water conservation measures, and advanced waste management solutions to minimise environmental impact. Officials also highlighted the presence of comprehensive safety and security systems, including smart access controls, surveillance networks, and modern emergency response infrastructure, ensuring a secure and accessible environment for both personnel and visitors.
