Opposition Leaders To Meet Over No-Confidence Motion Against Om Birla: Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav, chief of the Samajwadi Party, has said that floor leaders of Opposition parties will hold a meeting to discuss the no-confidence motion moved against Om Birla.

Speaking during the ongoing Budget Session of the Indian Parliament, Yadav said Opposition leaders will deliberate on the strategy regarding the motion and other key issues expected to be raised in the House.

He added that the meeting will also focus on major national and international concerns, including the evolving crisis in West Asia and the issue of rising inflation in the country. According to him, these matters require serious discussion in Parliament as they directly affect India’s economic and diplomatic interests.

The Opposition has been vocal about the functioning of the House and the role of the Speaker, which led to the move to bring a no-confidence motion against Om Birla. The development has intensified political debate during the Budget Session.

With several pressing issues on the agenda, Opposition leaders are expected to coordinate their approach in Parliament to raise concerns related to governance, economic challenges and global developments affecting India.
