Mamata Banerjee Dares Opponents, Alleges Election Rigging and Warns Party Rebels

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a fierce attack on her political opponents during a party meeting, declaring that she would not bow down under pressure even if attempts were made to remove her government or impose President’s Rule in the state.

Addressing party leaders and workers, Banerjee said, “If they want, they can remove me. If they want to impose President’s Rule, let them do it. But I am not someone who gives up.”

The Trinamool Congress chief also alleged large-scale “rigging” and irregularities in the election process. Calling the poll results questionable, she announced that her party would challenge the outcome legally. According to Banerjee, the matter would first be taken to the Supreme Court of India, and if necessary, to the International Court of Justice.

Her remarks come amid rising political tensions in West Bengal following the election results. The Chief Minister accused opposition forces of trying to destabilize the state government and undermine democratic institutions.

During the meeting, Banerjee also took a tough stand against alleged “traitors” within her own party. Referring to them as “Vibhishans” — a term commonly used in Indian politics for insiders accused of betrayal — she instructed party leaders to prepare a detailed list of those who allegedly worked against the party during the elections.

She warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found involved in anti-party activities or sabotage during the campaign.

The strong remarks indicate that the ruling Trinamool Congress is preparing for both a political and legal battle in the coming days as tensions continue to escalate in the state.
