The investigation into the alleged theft of donation money at the Ayodhya Ram Temple has intensified, with police now taking the assistance of Chartered Accountants (CAs) to examine the temple trust's financial records.
According to sources, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has recorded statements from senior trust members, including Champat Rai, Dr. Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao. All three have reportedly denied any involvement in the alleged theft.
Investigators are now conducting a detailed financial audit of the temple trust's records. The probe includes scrutiny of audit reports, bank documents, CCTV footage, and the entire donation collection and accounting process to identify any irregularities.
The inclusion of financial experts is expected to help investigators trace the movement of funds and verify whether the temple's accounting practices were followed correctly.
