CM Yogi Adityanath Invites Girl He Once Helped Enrol in School to Inaugurate Shri Ram Vatika in Moradabad

Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh | June 30, 2026 In a heartwarming gesture highlighting the impact of citizen grievance redressal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invited six-year-old Vanchi—the girl whose school admission he personally facilitated last year—to inaugurate the newly developed Shri Ram Vatika in Moradabad. Rather than asking a minister or senior official to perform the inauguration, the Chief Minister handed the honours to Vanchi and her younger sister, Aachi, who cut the ceremonial ribbon before a large gathering. The emotional moment was widely appreciated by those present and quickly gained attention on social media.

Vanchi's story began in June 2025 when her father, Amit Kumar, approached the Chief Minister during a Janata Darshan programme seeking help with her school admission. Despite repeated efforts, the family had been unable to secure a seat for the child. Acting on the Chief Minister's instructions, officials completed the admission process under the Right to Education (RTE) Act the same day, enrolling Vanchi in CL Gupta World School in Moradabad.

Returning a year later, Vanchi was no longer seeking assistance but was welcomed as a special guest at the inauguration ceremony.

The event was part of the Chief Minister's visit to Moradabad, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 63 development projects worth more than ₹365 crore. The projects span urban infrastructure, civic amenities, public facilities, and heritage conservation.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed the government's commitment to balancing development with cultural preservation. He also announced that Moradabad's Linepar area would be renamed Dau Dayal Khanna Nagar in honour of veteran Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement leader Dau Dayal Khanna.

Highlighting the state's progress since 2017, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a major economic growth engine through improvements in infrastructure, investment, law and order, and employment. He stated that the government has provided more than 900,000 government jobs over the past nine years through a transparent recruitment process.

The ceremony served as both a showcase of development initiatives and a symbolic reminder of how timely intervention in an individual's life can leave a lasting impact.
