Wife, Lover Allegedly Plot Husband's Murder Using Venomous Snake in Shocking Meerut Case

A shocking murder case from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut has sent shockwaves across the country, with police alleging that a woman conspired with her lover to kill her husband by using a venomous snake.
The victim, 32-year-old Atul Panwar, who ran Krishna Kids Play School in Hastinapur, was initially believed to have died from an accidental snakebite. However, the case took a dramatic turn after a detailed police investigation uncovered what authorities describe as a meticulously planned murder.
According to police, Atul's wife, Damini, was allegedly in a relationship with the school's van driver, Tushar. Investigators claim the two wanted to marry but saw Atul as the biggest obstacle to their future together.
Police allege that on Thursday night, Damini mixed sleeping pills into Atul's milk. After he fell unconscious, Tushar allegedly arrived at the house along with snake charmers and released a venomous snake into the room. The snake is believed to have bitten Atul while he was asleep.
Since snakebite marks were found on the victim's leg, the death was initially treated as a tragic accident. Family members rushed Atul to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The investigation gathered pace after police questioned Damini and examined her call records, which reportedly revealed frequent communication with Tushar. Following his detention, police claim Tushar confessed to the conspiracy and disclosed the alleged murder plot.
Investigators further allege that the victim had a life insurance policy worth ₹20 lakh. Police suspect the accused planned to claim the insurance money after Atul's death and use it to begin a new life together.
The case, registered under the Hastinapur police station limits in Meerut, remains under investigation. Authorities are continuing to probe the alleged involvement of others, including the reported role of snake charmers in the crime.
Police have not yet announced the filing of the final chargesheet, and the allegations remain subject to judicial proceedings.
