Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Beats Oppenheimer With Massive Opening at the Indian Box Office

Christopher Nolan's epic drama The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, has made a spectacular debut at the Indian box office. Despite receiving an 'A' certificate, the film witnessed packed theatres and an impressive response from moviegoers across the country.

Backed by strong advance bookings, The Odyssey recorded a remarkable opening. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹17.40 crore net in India on its first day from 8,413 shows. Its gross domestic collection stood at ₹20.76 crore.

With this opening, The Odyssey has surpassed the Day 1 collection of Nolan's previous blockbuster Oppenheimer, which had earned ₹14.5 crore on its opening day in India.

The strong start reflects Christopher Nolan's growing fan base in the country and the excitement surrounding his latest cinematic spectacle. If the momentum continues over the weekend, The Odyssey is expected to post an outstanding opening weekend at the Indian box office.
