Taj Mahal to Offer Free Entry for Tourists on Bakrid Morning

In a special arrangement for Bakrid celebrations, authorities in Agra have announced free entry to the Taj Mahal for both Indian and foreign tourists on May 28. Visitors will be able to enter the monument without paying the regular ticket fee from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

During this period, the standard entry charges of ₹50 for Indian visitors and ₹1,100 for foreign tourists will be completely waived. However, officials clarified that the additional ₹200 ticket required for entry to the main mausoleum will continue to apply as usual.

Keeping in mind the expected rise in footfall, the administration has put in place special security arrangements to manage crowds and ensure smooth movement of visitors.

Authorities anticipate a large number of tourists arriving at the iconic monument during the festive occasion.

The Taj Mahal, one of India’s most visited heritage sites, often witnesses heavy tourist turnout during festivals and public holidays.
