Tejashwi Yadav’s Son Iraj to Celebrate First Birthday in Delhi, Top Opposition Leaders Likely to Attend
Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Banerjee are among the opposition leaders expected at the birthday celebration in Ghaziabad.
A celebratory atmosphere surrounds the family of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav as his grandson, Iraj, the son of Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, turns one on Wednesday. The first birthday celebration is set to take place in Ghaziabad near Delhi, with the Yadav family travelling from Patna to the national capital for the occasion.
According to sources, several senior opposition leaders may attend the event, including Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee. The gathering is expected to bring together several key figures from opposition politics.
Political observers are also viewing the occasion as more than just a family celebration, with some seeing it as an opportunity for opposition unity and a show of strength by the RJD ahead of upcoming political developments.
Before departing for Delhi, Tejashwi Yadav also took aim at the Bihar government during an interaction with the media at Patna airport. He criticised Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary over recent remarks related to the “green scarf” controversy, accusing the government of diverting attention from real public issues.
Tejashwi said the state government had failed to address pressing concerns and instead focused on unnecessary political controversies. His comments came after Samrat Choudhary’s recent statement at the Bihar AI Summit sparked a political debate.
