President Murmu Launches ‘Karmayoga for Empowered Bharat’ Campaign in New Delhi

New Delhi, 13 February 2026: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated an All-India Conference organised by the Brahma Kumaris and launched a nationwide campaign titled “Karmayoga for Empowered Bharat.” The President also formally commenced the silver jubilee celebrations of the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Gurugram. Addressing the gathering, the President highlighted the need for aligning moral values with economic and technological progress. She noted that while innovation and growth are essential for national prosperity, development without an ethical foundation can lead to social and environmental imbalances. Emphasising the human dimension of progress, she cautioned that technology and economic advancement must remain guided by integrity and responsibility. The President underscored the role of spirituality in shaping ethical decision-making and fostering compassion, fairness, and social harmony. She remarked that spirituality encourages the practice of Karmayoga — selfless action performed with a sense of duty and service — which she described as vital for building a just and peaceful society. Referring to the teachings of the Brahma Kumaris, President Murmu observed that Rajayoga is not limited to contemplation but extends to responsible action in daily life. She expressed appreciation for the millions associated with the organisation who strive to live by these principles. Concluding her remarks, the President said that Karmayoga offers every citizen an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to India’s sustainable and holistic development, helping create a society rooted in values and collective well-being.
