Pahalgam Terror Attack Anniversary: PM Narendra Modi Reaffirms India’s Zero Tolerance Against Terror

On the first anniversary of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s unwavering stance against terrorism, emphasizing that the nation will never bow to terror or allow such acts to succeed.

Marking the solemn occasion, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the 26 innocent lives lost in the brutal attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pahalgam on this day last year. The victims, mostly tourists from different parts of India, were targeted in an act that shocked the entire nation.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Modi expressed deep condolences, stating that the victims “will never be forgotten” and extended his thoughts to the bereaved families enduring the pain of their loss. He further highlighted the collective resolve of the country, asserting that India stands united in grief and determination.

Reinforcing the government’s strong counter-terrorism policy, the Prime Minister underscored that acts of terror will never break India’s spirit. Following the attack, India launched a decisive retaliatory military operation, Operation Sindoor, targeting and dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The anniversary serves as a reminder of both the lives lost and India’s continued commitment to combating terrorism with strength and unity.
