NEET MDS 2026 Registration Begins; Applications Open Till March 30
NBEMS opens online application window for dental postgraduate entrance exam; test scheduled for May 2.
New Delhi | March 14, 2026 The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened the online registration window for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2026. Eligible candidates can now apply for the examination through the official website natboard.edu.in.
According to the official notification, the application process began on March 14, 2026, and the last date to submit the online application form is March 30, 2026, until 11:55 PM.
NEET MDS is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes offered by dental colleges across India.
To be eligible for the exam, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an institute recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Applicants must also have a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by the DCI or a State Dental Council. In addition, candidates are required to complete a 12-month compulsory internship on or before May 31, 2026.
The NEET MDS 2026 examination will be held on May 2, 2026, in a computer-based format. The exam will take place in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM, with a duration of three hours. The admit cards will be released on April 29, and the exam city slip will be issued on April 22.
NBEMS will also provide an application correction window from April 4 to April 6, allowing candidates to edit certain details in their forms. A final selective edit window to correct uploaded images will be available from April 21 to April 22.
The application fee for General, OBC and EWS candidates is ₹3,500, while SC, ST and PwD candidates need to pay ₹2,500.
The board has announced that the NEET MDS 2026 results will be declared by June 2, 2026. Candidates are advised to carefully fill out the application form and keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
