Mumbai Police Bust Alleged Hydroponic Cannabis Lab in Borivali
Police say the accused allegedly learned hydroponic cannabis cultivation through YouTube videos; one person has been arrested and the main accused is still being traced.
Mumbai Police have busted an alleged hydroponic cannabis cultivation lab operating from a room in Ganpat Patil Nagar, Borivali.
According to police, the setup was created after the accused allegedly watched YouTube videos on hydroponic cultivation. The room was equipped with systems to regulate temperature, humidity and pH levels, along with LED grow lights and other equipment used for indoor plant cultivation.
During the operation, the M.H.B. Colony Police seized around 54 grams of hydroponic cannabis valued at ₹1.62 lakh and 189 grams of wet cannabis worth approximately ₹2.5 lakh. The cultivation equipment was also confiscated.
Police have arrested one person in connection with the case. However, the alleged main accused behind the operation remains at large, and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them.
The investigation is continuing as police work to establish the complete network and circumstances surrounding the alleged illegal cultivation operation.
