IndiGo Passenger Alleges Negligence After Baggage Goes Missing on Delhi–Belagavi Flight

A passenger has reported a distressing experience with IndiGo following a baggage issue on a domestic flight, raising concerns over the airline’s baggage handling and customer service standards.

The passenger travelled from New Delhi to Belagavi on Flight 6E-5237. While he reached his destination safely, his checked-in baggage reportedly did not arrive with him. According to his statement, there has been no clarity regarding the whereabouts of the luggage.

The incident has allegedly caused significant mental distress, inconvenience, and financial strain, as the passenger was forced to purchase essential clothing and personal items immediately upon arrival. The situation is further aggravated by the presence of important and valuable documents inside the missing baggage.

Terming the episode as negligence and poor baggage management, the passenger questioned the airline’s operational standards and customer service practices. He has sought an immediate explanation from IndiGo’s Chief Executive Officer, Pieter Elbers.

The matter has also been brought to the attention of Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, with a call for urgent intervention.

As of now, there has been no official public response from the airline regarding the incident.
