The holy occasion of the Prakash Parv of Guru Arjan Dev Ji was celebrated with great devotion and grandeur at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of Sikhism, was born in 1563 in Goindwal, Punjab. He is widely revered for compiling the Adi Granth, the central religious scripture of Sikhism, which later became the foundation of the Guru Granth Sahib. His contributions played a crucial role in shaping Sikh philosophy, promoting values of equality, devotion, and selfless service.
He also oversaw the construction of the Harmandir Sahib, making it a central place of worship open to people of all backgrounds. Guru Arjan Dev Ji is remembered as the first Sikh martyr, having sacrificed his life in 1606 while upholding the principles of faith and humanity.
