AI Summit Reflects Digital India Vision, Says Praveen Khandelwal

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit held in Delhi marks a significant milestone in India’s digital journey and stands as a successful reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India mission, said Praveen Khandelwal, MP from Chandni Chowk and Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). Khandelwal noted that the summit highlighted the transformative role of AI across sectors including industry, trade, healthcare, education, agriculture, finance, logistics, and governance. He emphasized that the event underscored how technology-driven innovation will shape the future of every sector, enabling sustainable and inclusive growth.

Recalling the launch of the Digital India programme on 1 July 2015, Khandelwal credited the initiative with accelerating India’s digital transformation and strengthening its position in the global AI landscape. He urged traders and businesses nationwide to integrate AI into their operations, stating that long-term growth in trade will increasingly depend on technological adoption.

The summit showcased advancements in data-driven decision-making, automation, ethical AI, cybersecurity, and skill development. It demonstrated AI’s potential to boost MSME productivity, enhance precision agriculture, improve healthcare accessibility, and promote personalized education, while strengthening transparency and efficiency in governance.

Khandelwal added that India’s talent pool, digital public infrastructure, and innovation ecosystem position the country to become a trusted global AI hub through responsible adoption and continued policy support.
