Green Corridor Facilitates Swift Transport of Donor Lungs in Hyderabad

In a remarkable example of coordinated emergency response, a pair of donor lungs was airlifted from Bengaluru and successfully arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.

To ensure the timely delivery of the organs for a life-saving transplant, the Hyderabad City Police established a special “green corridor,” enabling an ambulance to move without traffic interruptions. The corridor stretched from the airport to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad.

The seamless coordination allowed the ambulance to cover the distance in record time, significantly reducing transit delays and preserving the viability of the organs.
