Trump Urges Iran to Release Detained Women, Tehran Denies Execution Claims

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Iranian authorities to release eight women reportedly detained in Iranian prisons, raising concerns over their safety. The appeal came through a social media post in which Trump shared images of the women and alleged that they were at risk of imminent execution.

In his statement, Donald Trump urged Iranian leadership to ensure that no harm comes to the detainees. He emphasized that releasing the women would be a positive step and could help build goodwill ahead of potential diplomatic engagements. Trump also indicated that such a move could serve as a constructive beginning to future discussions between U.S. representatives and Iranian officials.

“I would ask the Iranian leaders, who will soon be speaking with an American delegation, to release these women. I would greatly appreciate it, and I believe they will be respected for doing so. Please do not harm them—this would be a great start to our talks,” he stated.

However, the Iranian side has dismissed the claims. According to a report by BBC News, Iran’s Attorney General has denied reports suggesting that the eight women are facing execution, calling such allegations unfounded.

The development highlights ongoing tensions and mistrust between Washington and Tehran, even as diplomatic channels appear to be cautiously reopening. The situation continues to draw international attention, particularly around human rights concerns and the treatment of detainees in Iran.
