A Pakistani court has sentenced Umar Hayat to death in the murder case of popular TikTok influencer Sana Yusuf. The court found the 22-year-old guilty of killing the 17-year-old social media star after she allegedly rejected his friendship proposal.

Islamabad Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka announced the verdict on Tuesday, convicting Hayat in the widely discussed case. According to officials, the accused was also a TikTok content creator.

Police said the murder took place in June, and investigators were able to identify and arrest the suspect using CCTV footage. Authorities revealed that the footage showed Hayat leaving the lane near Sana Yusuf’s home shortly after the shooting incident.

The case gained significant attention across social media platforms and sparked conversations about women’s safety, online harassment, and violence in Pakistan. Investigators said digital and video evidence played a crucial role in securing the conviction.
