Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron to India, expressing optimism that the visit would further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries. In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister described the visit as an opportunity to advance bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties across key sectors.
Emphasising the importance of the engagements scheduled in Mumbai and Delhi, Modi stated that the discussions would inject fresh momentum into India–France relations. He underscored that the partnership between the two nations continues to play a constructive role not only for their mutual growth but also for broader global progress.
In his post, Narendra Modi wrote, “Welcome to India! India looks forward to your visit and to advancing our bilateral ties to new heights.” He added that he was confident the meetings with Emmanuel Macron would enhance collaboration across multiple domains.
The visit is expected to focus on expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, technology, defence, and climate initiatives, reflecting the growing alignment between India and France on regional and global issues. Leaders from both sides are anticipated to review ongoing initiatives while exploring new avenues for partnership.
