Iran Denies Reports of Delegation in Islamabad, Links Talks to Ceasefire Commitments
Tehran dismisses Islamabad talks claims as “false,” insists negotiations hinge on US ceasefire commitments and halt to Israeli military actions

Iran has strongly refuted media reports claiming that its negotiators have arrived in Islamabad for talks with US officials. The country’s state-run Fars News Agency dismissed these claims as “false” and misleading.
According to Fars News Agency, reports suggesting that an Iranian negotiation delegation had reached Islamabad, Islamabad, to engage in discussions with officials from the United States are entirely incorrect. The agency emphasized that no such diplomatic movement has taken place.
The statement further clarified that any potential negotiations would remain suspended until specific conditions are met. Iran has asserted that talks will not resume unless the United States fulfills its commitments regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon, and Israel halts its ongoing military actions.
This development comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where diplomatic efforts continue to face significant challenges due to ongoing conflicts and geopolitical complexities.
