India–Germany Defence Ties Enter New Phase with Key Agreements

India and Germany have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their defence partnership, as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held high-level talks with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius in Berlin.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to deepen their strategic partnership and signed an important Defence Industrial Cooperation Roadmap, aimed at enhancing collaboration in defence manufacturing, technology, and security.

Rajnath Singh, who is currently on an official visit to Germany, emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the two nations in the face of evolving global security challenges. He also strongly condemned terrorism, describing it as a major threat to global peace and stability, and called for unified international efforts to counter it.

As part of his visit, Singh also toured a submarine manufacturing facility, highlighting India’s interest in expanding defence production capabilities and exploring potential partnerships with German industry.

The discussions underline a shared commitment between India and Germany to strengthen defence ties, boost industrial collaboration, and promote stability in an increasingly uncertain global environment.
