Golmaal 5 Shoot Begins; Akshay Kumar Joins Rohit Shetty’s Comedy Franchise
Ajay Devgn teases Akshay Kumar’s entry as the popular comedy series returns with its fifth installment
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has officially begun shooting for Golmaal 5, the latest installment of the widely loved Golmaal comedy franchise. The film will once again feature familiar faces including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu.
Adding to the excitement, Akshay Kumar has joined the cast. In a promotional announcement video, Ajay Devgn jokingly remarked about Akshay’s presence, saying, “Koi franchise nahi chhodta hai ye,” teasing the actor’s involvement in multiple film franchises.
According to reports, Akshay Kumar may appear in a negative role in the film, bringing a fresh twist to the comedy series. The movie marks another collaboration between Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty following the success of Singham Again.
Speaking earlier about the project, Rohit Shetty said he wanted to take a break from action-driven cop films and return to the lighter, fun-filled world of comedy.
The Golmaal franchise, which began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, has delivered several successful installments and remains one of Bollywood’s most popular comedy series.
