The wedding celebrations of cricketer Arjun Tendulkar and entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok have officially begun, drawing prominent personalities from sports, politics and business. The multi-day festivities started earlier this week and will culminate with the main wedding ceremony on March 5 in Mumbai.
The first pre-wedding event turned into a glamorous gathering as members of the Tendulkar family greeted guests and posed for photographs. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was seen wearing a vibrant green kurta-pyjama paired with a printed jacket, while Anjali Tendulkar stunned in a blue outfit adorned with traditional jewellery. Their daughter Sara Tendulkar also attracted attention in an elegant pink lehenga.
Bride-to-be Saaniya Chandhok arrived with her family in a pastel lehenga and warmly greeted guests as the celebrations gained momentum. The couple had earlier announced their engagement in August 2025 during a private ceremony attended by close friends and family.
Several well-known figures from the cricketing world attended the event, including Zaheer Khan and actress Sagarika Ghatge, Harbhajan Singh with Geeta Basra, and Irfan Pathan with his wife Sara Baig. Former India coach Ravi Shastri and World Cup-winning star Yuvraj Singh also attended the celebrations.
Reports suggest earlier rituals included a grand puja in Jamnagar at a venue linked to industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani.
With invitations reportedly extended to leaders such as Droupadi Murmu, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi, the wedding is expected to be one of the most high-profile social events of 2026.
