600 UP Police Inspectors to Watch Dhurandhar-2 in Meerut to Boost Morale

New Delhi: In a unique initiative aimed at boosting morale, around 600 Uttar Pradesh Police inspectors will attend a special screening of the film Dhurandhar-2 in Meerut. The event has been organized under the supervision of Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Avinash Pandey.

According to reports, the inspectors—primarily from the 2023 batch—will be taken to the cinema halls on Thursday. Two screens have been booked at Wave Cinema, located in Shoprix Mall on Delhi Road, to accommodate the large group of police personnel.

The officers are expected to arrive at the multiplex in government vehicles, highlighting the scale and official nature of the initiative. The film, reportedly connected to Uttar Pradesh, has been chosen as part of an effort to engage and motivate the force through a shared recreational experience.

Officials believe such activities play an important role in maintaining mental well-being, relieving stress, and strengthening camaraderie among police personnel, who often operate under high-pressure conditions.

The move has drawn attention for its unconventional approach, blending entertainment with institutional morale-building. While police departments typically focus on training and discipline, this initiative reflects a growing emphasis on the emotional and psychological welfare of personnel.

The screening is expected to not only provide a break from routine duties but also foster a sense of unity and motivation within the force.
