Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway Set to Transform Connectivity and Boost Regional Growth
The project has achieved 100 per cent Right of Way (ROW) acquisition and incorporates a closed tolling system to ensure smooth and uninterrupted travel.
New Delhi :The Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway is poised to significantly transform connectivity, economic growth and daily travel across Gujarat. Built with advanced infrastructure and seamless mobility features, the expressway marks a major step forward in strengthening regional transportation networks.
The project has achieved 100 per cent Right of Way (ROW) acquisition and incorporates a closed tolling system to ensure smooth and uninterrupted travel. Designed to global standards, the expressway includes two modern Way-Side Amenities for commuters, along with extensive structural development comprising three Railway Over Bridges (ROBs), 11 interchanges, 14 flyovers, 86 underpasses and 224 culverts.
One of the most notable impacts of the expressway is the sharp reduction in travel time and distance. Travel from Ahmedabad to Dholera has been reduced from 100 kilometres and over two hours to just 83 kilometres, taking approximately 45 minutes. Similarly, the journey from Ahmedabad to Bhavnagar has been shortened from 169 kilometres and more than three hours to 141 kilometres, now taking around one hour and 45 minutes. The improved connectivity is expected to provide a major boost to Dholera, India’s upcoming industrial and smart city hub, while enhancing trade and logistics across Gujarat.
Officials say the expressway will not only save time and fuel but also attract investment, generate employment and strengthen local businesses. With safer roads, faster mobility and modern infrastructure, the Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway is set to reshape travel, support economic expansion and improve the quality of life for thousands of commuters.
