India Register Historic Test Win as Manav Suthar Shines on Dream Debut

India scripted history in New Chandigarh with their biggest-ever Test victory, thrashing Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in the one-off Test. Making a sensational debut, 23-year-old left-arm spinner Manav Suthar stole the spotlight with match figures of 7/62, including a stunning 6/33 in the first innings.

India’s batting dominance was led by centuries from KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill, helping the hosts post a mammoth 564/8 declared. Afghanistan struggled to cope with India’s spin attack, getting bundled out for 152 and 112 across both innings.

The record-breaking win surpasses India’s previous biggest Test victory and marks a dream beginning for Suthar’s red-ball career.
