Hockey India has announced a 20-member Indian men's squad for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands from August 15 to 30, 2026.

India have been placed in Pool D alongside England, Pakistan, and Wales, with all their group-stage matches set to be played in Amstelveen, Netherlands.

The team will kick off its World Cup campaign against Wales on August 15, followed by matches against England on August 17 and arch-rivals Pakistan on August 19. The India-Pakistan clash is expected to be one of the most anticipated fixtures of the group stage.

Star defender and drag-flick specialist Harmanpreet Singh will captain the side, while experienced midfielder Manpreet Singh will provide leadership and stability with his vast international experience. The squad features a balanced mix of seasoned campaigners and promising young talent.

Veteran midfielder Manpreet Singh, India's most-capped player, remains a key figure in the squad. The goalkeeping unit comprises Mohit HS and Suraj Karkera, while the defensive lineup includes Jarmanpreet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, Sumit, and Yashdeep Siwach.

With a blend of experience, youth, and strong defensive depth, India will be aiming to make a strong impression as they chase World Cup glory in Europe.
