NDA’s Lead Aligns with Exit Feedback; Alliance Poised for a Landslide Victory in Bihar

Early trends from the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 indicate a decisive and historic mandate in favour of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with counting patterns closely matching pre-poll expectations and ground-level feedback. As per the initial rounds of counting, the NDA is already leading on around 180 seats, signalling a strong wave across the state.
Political analysts say these emerging numbers reaffirm the widespread assessment that Bihar is set to elect an NDA government once again—powered collectively by the BJP, JDU under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, and LJP (Ram Vilas) led by Chirag Paswan. The alliance appears to be benefiting from a broad consolidation of votes, organisational strength, and consistent messaging around governance and development.
Senior BJP leaders point out that the mandate reflects voters’ trust in the NDA’s stability and performance-driven approach. “The results are in line with our expectations and feedback from every region. It is now clear that NDA will win with a huge margin,” party representatives said while reacting to early trends.
Meanwhile, the opposition’s narrative around “vote theft” appears to have found little resonance among the electorate. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s repeated allegations regarding electoral malpractice seem to have had minimal impact on voter behaviour. The Mahagathbandhan’s strategy, centred heavily on these claims, has not translated into numbers on the ground.
The RJD, led by Tejashwi Yadav, is currently projected to halt around the 45-seat mark as per the early rounds—a significant setback compared to their expectations. Analysts suggest that internal discord, lack of a cohesive statewide message, and overreliance on negative campaigning may have contributed to the opposition’s underperformance.
Observers also highlight that this result serves as a strong counter to the opposition’s narrative, signalling that the electorate prioritised governance over allegations and rhetoric. The NDA’s sweeping lead, if sustained through the final tally, may amount to one of its biggest victories in Bihar’s recent political history.
As counting progresses through the day, the NDA camp is confident that its lead will further consolidate, reinforcing the mandate for continuity, development, and stable governance in the state.
