Haryana CM Nayab Saini Assures Action After Woman Breaks Down Over Land Dispute in Kurukshetra

Nayab Singh Saini assured swift action after an emotional incident unfolded during a Jan Samvad public grievance programme in the Ladwa area of Kurukshetra district, where a woman broke down in tears over a long-pending land dispute.

The woman alleged that a neighbouring farmer had illegally occupied the access road leading to her agricultural land, leaving her unable to cultivate her fields. According to her, she had already filed 19 complaints with authorities, but no action had been taken. She claimed the blocked pathway had rendered her farmland barren, pushing her family into financial hardship.

In an emotional appeal before the Chief Minister, the woman reportedly warned that if the issue remained unresolved, she and her son would be forced to take an extreme step at a police station.

Taking immediate cognisance of the matter, CM Saini asked the woman to stay calm and assured her of government action. He reportedly reprimanded officials present at the event and directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to conduct a detailed inquiry into the case. The Chief Minister also ordered officials to register an FIR without delay and ensure prompt action against those responsible.

The incident has drawn attention to administrative response mechanisms in local land disputes, with the Chief Minister’s direct intervention bringing hope for a resolution to the woman’s long-standing grievance.
