Ahead of the Bakrid festival, the Delhi government has issued new guidelines aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring cleanliness across the national capital. Delhi minister Kapil Mishra said that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain peace and hygiene during the celebrations.
The government has appealed to citizens to strictly follow the prescribed rules so that no disputes or inconvenience arise during the festival. Officials emphasized that public cooperation is essential for smooth and peaceful celebrations.
As per the guidelines, the sacrifice of prohibited animals, including cows, calves, camels, and other banned animals, is strictly illegal during Bakrid. The administration warned that any violation of the law would lead to criminal proceedings.
Authorities also made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found breaking the rules, reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining order during the festival.
