SP Delegation to Visit Rampur Over Proposed Demolition of Azam Khan's Jauhar University

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced that a delegation led by Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey, will visit Rampur on Thursday, July 23, following party chief Akhilesh Yadav's directions.

The delegation will submit a memorandum to the Rampur district administration, urging it to stop the proposed demolition of Jauhar University, founded by senior SP leader Azam Khan.

The Samajwadi Party has strongly criticised the district administration's move, describing the demolition directive as being against the spirit of the Constitution. The party maintains that the action is unjustified and has called on the administration to reconsider its decision.

The visit comes amid growing political attention over the future of Jauhar University, with the SP asserting that it will continue to oppose any action it believes is unconstitutional.
