Police Department Transfers: Senior Officers Given New Charges
State police department announces transfer of senior police officers across districts and specialized units.
The State Police Department has issued transfer orders for over 40 senior police officers including superintendents of police (SPs) and deputy commissioners of police (DCPs).
The transfers cover various districts and include postings to specialized units such as crime branch, traffic police, and anti-terrorism squads across the state.
These administrative changes are implemented to ensure better law and order management, bring diversity in experience, and enhance operational efficiency.
Officers have been instructed to relieve and join their new postings within seven working days. Charge handover must be completed with proper documentation.
The transfers also include promotions for deserving officers who have shown exceptional performance in their current postings and have been recommended by the department.
