In a joint operation, the Special Task Force (STF) Meerut Unit and Uttarakhand STF arrested two alleged members of a cheating racket linked to the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment examination. The arrests were made at Kotwali Police Station in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The accused, identified as Nitish Kumar from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, and Bhaskar Naithani from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, were reportedly involved in facilitating exam malpractice at the Mahadev Digital Zone examination centre in Dehradun. According to officials, the suspects allegedly used a “master computer” setup to manipulate systems and enable cheating through computer hacking techniques. Authorities stated that the duo had configured proxy servers and exploited local area network (LAN) networking to gain remote access to examination terminals. The operation led to the seizure of four mobile phones, two laptops, and an internet router, believed to have been used in the scheme. Officials confirmed that necessary legal proceedings are underway. Further investigation is being conducted to identify other possible members and determine the full scope of the alleged racket.
