Investigators believe the objective was to make the incident appear as an accident or a robbery, causing severe injuries that would force the cancellation of Ketan and Siya's planned Bali trip on June 6, as well as their upcoming wedding. During the investigation, police reportedly found that the accused discussed scenarios in which Ketan could lose a limb or become permanently disabled. According to investigators, Siya allegedly believed that such a situation would make it easier to convince her family to call off the marriage without raising suspicion.
