NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Case: Families of Accused Under Scanner as Contradictory Claims Surface

The NEET UG 2026 paper leak investigation has taken a dramatic turn after family members of arrested accused Mangilal and Dinesh Biwal made contradictory statements while speaking to the media. The women, who are related and belong to the accused families, appeared emotional and evasive, at times shouting, pleading, and claiming ignorance about key details of their children’s medical education.

Despite several family members reportedly studying MBBS in government medical colleges, the women claimed they did not know the names of the colleges or even the cities where their children studied. While insisting their children achieved success through hard work and sacrifices, including selling goats and land to fund education, they struggled to answer basic questions about the students’ academic backgrounds.

The families also alleged selective targeting, claiming paper leaks had happened in previous years as well and accusing authorities of shielding influential people while framing their family. However, investigators have reportedly found social media posts that appear to contradict these claims.

The CBI has arrested Mangilal, Dinesh Biwal, and MBBS student Vikas Biwal in connection with the case and is now probing Telegram groups, WhatsApp chats, financial transactions, and digital evidence. Authorities are also investigating the alleged involvement of nearly 150 students linked to the suspected network.

The case has intensified concerns over the integrity of India’s largest medical entrance examination, with students and parents awaiting further developments in the probe.
