National Conference on Women’s Workplace Safety to Be Held at Vigyan Bhawan
WCD Ministry to highlight SHe-Box, PoSH compliance, and national pledge for harassment-free workplaces
New Delhi, Feb 13, 2026: The Ministry of Women and Child Development will organise a National Conference on Safety of Women at Workplace (SHe-Box) on February 14, 2026, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The conference aims to reinforce the Government’s commitment to ensuring safe, dignified, and harassment-free workplaces for women across sectors. The event will be attended by Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi, who will deliver the keynote address and administer the National Workplace Safety Pledge, along with Minister of State Savitri Thakur. Participants will include senior officials from Central Ministries, States and Union Territories, members of Internal and Local Committees, Nodal Officers, representatives from international organisations, industry leaders, civil society, and media. The conference will focus on strengthening the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. It will also spotlight the SHe-Box portal, launched in August 2024 as a secure, multilingual, single-window platform for filing and tracking complaints with strict confidentiality. Key sessions will feature national and international roundtables on improving PoSH compliance and workplace culture, including discussions on challenges in the unorganised sector and global best practices. The programme will also witness the launch of the SHe-Box logo, PoSH training video, IEC materials, and a voluntary compliance checklist. Around 1,500 participants from over 100 organisations are expected to attend. The conference will be webcast live.
