DGR to Organise Special Job Fair for Ex-Servicemen in Delhi on March 20
Event aims to connect veterans of the Army, Navy and Air Force with employers from sectors such as IT, security, logistics and healthcare.
The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, will organise a special Job Fair for Ex-Servicemen in New Delhi on March 20, 2026. The initiative aims to help former members of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force transition smoothly into the civilian workforce.
The job fair will provide a dedicated platform for veterans to interact with leading companies and employers from sectors such as security services, information technology, administration, logistics, healthcare and engineering. Organisers say the event will highlight the discipline, leadership and technical expertise that ex-servicemen bring to the professional environment.
This initiative is part of the government’s continued efforts to support the resettlement and welfare of veterans. During the financial year 2025–26, DGR has planned 18 job fairs across India. So far, 17 events have already been conducted in cities including Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Jammu, Bhopal, Kochi, Guwahati, Dehradun, Bengaluru, Pune and Chandigarh.
The upcoming job fair will allow ex-servicemen to present their skills directly to recruiters, while employers will get access to a pool of trained and experienced professionals. Companies will also be able to review resumes in advance and conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates during the event.
Both employers and ex-servicemen can register through esmhire.com, an AI-powered job platform created specifically for veterans. Registration links are also available on the DGR website, and participation is free for both candidates and employers.
The job fair will begin at 7:00 AM on March 20, 2026, and will be held at Aravali Auditorium near Shankar Vihar Metro Station in Delhi Cantt, New Delhi.
