No taking away Of Campus Representation!
Today, AISA gave the call for a sit-in protest at Kashmere Gate Campus with the demand for release of election notification for this academic year. Despite continuous calls in the past two weeks the administration has been apathetic towards the students by barricading and locking the gates, tearing and not allowing posters be put up on the gates, and not letting students inside the university.
All of this happens as news seeps out about the administration's own mismanagement of the student fest, delay in booking the venue for Ragini and allotting adequate funds to the cultural societies who are supposed to prepare for the fests.
The university administration continues to hide behind barricades and dilly dally instead of releasing the notification. The administration is trying to justify its incompetency by taking the excuse of students fests. The students have been given an appointment with the registrar for tomorrow and on Tuesday at 1 pm. We demand that the administration stop hiding behind the student fest and immediately notify Council elections.
