EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar to Visit Brussels for Key India–EU Foreign Affairs Council Meeting

New Delhi, March 15, 2026: India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Brussels, Belgium on March 15–16, 2026, at the invitation of Kaja Kallas, the High Representative and Vice President of the European Union.

During the visit, Dr. Jaishankar will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, where he will interact with Foreign Ministers of the 27 EU member states. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic cooperation and addressing key global and regional issues of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the council meeting, the External Affairs Minister is also scheduled to hold discussions with the leadership of the European Union and his counterparts from Belgium and other EU member countries. These meetings aim to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors, including trade, security, and geopolitical cooperation.

The visit comes shortly after the historic 16th India–EU Summit and is expected to further deepen India’s strategic partnership with the European Union, reinforcing cooperation between the two sides on global challenges and economic engagement.
